Mark is a registered architect specializing in residential design. Since graduating from Tulane University in 1988 with a Master of Architecture degree, he practiced for 12 years as project architect with McMonigal Architects and 7 years as prinicipal architect with Friedell Architects & Builders. He formed Mark Gunstad Architecture in 2007.

Mark's work has garnered recognition with several AIA Minnesota 'Home of the Month' profiles, a Residential Architects Vision and Excellence (RAVE) award and multiple National Association of the Remodeling Industry (CotY/RotY) awards.

Mark and his work have also been featured in Architecture MN, Minneapolis Star & Tribune, Midwest Living, Mpls/St. Paul, Midwest Home, Remodeling Magazine, and Better Homes & Gardens publications.
